As the economic scene changes, the only people who will “survive”, let alone thrive, will be the ones who hustle. But in today’s world, we need a different type of hustlers. We need conscious hustlers. Here’s the difference👇
[1] Hustling is out-working your competitors, and even peers. Conscious hustling is doing it within your work-time, so you can keep your family & friends’ time as well.
[2] Hustling is overcoming what seems impossible. Conscious hustling is acknowledging those next to you, since you aren’t getting there alone.
[3] Hustling is picking shortcuts to get ahead. Conscious hustling is keeping your principles while you choose from available shortcuts.
[4] Hustling is about overdelivering today, and immediately getting your mind in the next milestone. Conscious hustling is being able to celebrate the journey, not just the achievement.
Product managers need to be competitive beasts. You know who will be? The PM in your competitor trying to solve the same problem as you.
But winning products are built not by PMs who hustle the hardest, but by PMs who hustle the longest. Doing it consciously keeps you going, and gets the right people next to you.
We’re all going to have to hustle this one through.
