If you don't do weekly 1-1s, you're not prioritising your team

You’re a manager and you “don’t have time” to do weekly 1-1s with your direct reports and bi-weekly skip-levels?

You’re not lacking time. You’re just not prioritizing your team. You just care about something else over them.

And slowly but surely, your team will leave you. And when that happens, you won’t have time to do the things you’ve prioritized over them because you’ll be busy finding a new team.

This impacts PM managers especially hard because “once a PM, always a PM”. When you’re a manager of PMs, your team is your product. Make “building them” every day your priority.
